Lauren Jade Citrano is the Chester Lady-in-Waiting for the Tyler County Dogwood Festival. She is the daughter of Derek and Elana Citrano and Michelle Reynolds. Her escort for the festivities will be Jaxon Gay, son of Cassie and Jesse Gay. Lauren has been involved in a variety of academic and athletic activities at CHS. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has participated in cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, cross country, softball, and track. In volleyball, she has been recognized as Newcomer of the Year, First Team All-District, and Offensive MVP. She also earned
Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-District honors in softball and has qualified for the regional track meet twice. Lauren is especially proud to have been named Chester High School’s homecoming queen exactly 50 years after her Memaw was crowned. She is looking forward to the Jean Fling during the festival, where she hopes to learn how to dance. After graduation, Lauren plans to attend Angelina College to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and work as a registered nurse, with the long-term goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. Lauren’s favorite three things are Jesus, crawfish, and lake trips. She is honored to represent Chester and take part in the traditions of the
Dogwood Festival.
